SHAMAN DIVINATION BOX FROM PAIWAN TRIBE ( 1950 )
This Shaman divination box is carved with tribal tattoo hands on one side and ancestor pot, hundred pacer snakes and sun on the other . The 2 others narrow sides are carved with geometric patterns and inlaid with shell. The cover slips in notches and is carved with 2 hundred pacer snakes heads. All the surface is painted in red except the cover.
